Prescription charges

Genuine review required

From Mrs H. P. Cooper, MRPharmS

My sympathies go out to those pharmacies located on the Welsh borders, following the prescription charge changes. What a fiasco it must be when a prescription is dispensed in Wales for £6 and in England for £6.10, and when 24-year-olds can get their prescriptions free in Wales but not in England.

I do hope that there will be a genuine review of the iniquitous prescription “tax” that is currently in place, so that it can be replaced by something fairer for all concerned.
