Society completes consultation exercise on future of
local network
The Royal Pharmaceutical Societys series of consultation
meetings on the future of its local network has now drawn to a close.
Meetings have taken place over the past five months in the Societys regions
in England and in Scotland and Wales. Their aim was to explore how the
Societys branches and regions can best meet the challenges of the Governments
Pharmacy in the future programme.
The Societys Council will consider an initial report
of the exercise at its August meeting. A consultation document will then
be distributed to branch and regional secretaries with a request that
it be discussed in time for further consideration at the branch secretaries
meeting in October.
The Society says that the series of 13 meetings
has involved representatives from all areas of the profession, providing
members with an opportunity to compare experiences and share ideas and
best practice.
