Pharmacist research assessors wanted

Pharmacists are being invited to become assessors under a Royal College of General Practitioners scheme to measure the quality of primary care research undertaken in general practice.

Trios of assessors — one GP, one other primary care professional and a lay member — will visit medical practices to check research against specific standards and criteria. Training will be provided by the RCGP for the assessors.

Details about how to apply are available from Rachel Morley, Research Office, RCGP, 14 Princes Gate, London SW7 1PU (tel 020 7581 3232 ext 338, e-mail rmorley@rcgp.org.uk).
