Taking a wrong approach

From Ms D. R. A. Bell, MRPharmS

I find it unbelievable that any health care organisation can use the term “schizophrenic approach” unless as a shorthand term to refer to an approach to dealing with the illness of schizophrenia (PJ, 28 July).

Dorothy Bell
Pharmacy Department,
Royal Dundee Liff Hospital

Naturally, our correspondent is quite right and we regret the inappropriate use of the word “schizophrenic” in last week’s leading article. —EDITOR.
