Retirement from Council of Terri BanksOn behalf of the Council, the President presented a gift to Terri Banks, who was attending her last Council meeting after nearly five years as a Privy Council nominee member of the Council. The President said that during Mrs Bankss period of service the Council had seen enormous change in terms of organisation, in terms of probity and in terms of governance. The driving force behind that had been Mrs Banks in terms of her persistence in badgering Council to look at issues that needed to be looked at and to organise itself in the way it needed to organise itself. In future the Council would look back and greatly appreciate that even though it caused some difficulty from time to time as a Council. Without it the Council would have been in a serious position. Thanking the Council for her gift, Mrs Banks said that it had been a huge privilege to be a member of the Council. It had been rough at times, but she would miss her Council colleagues a great deal. Above all, she wanted to thank the staff she had worked with, who had given her superb help. |
