AstraZeneca award presentedDr Igor Gonda was awarded the AstraZeneca Industrial Achievement Award 2001 at the British Pharmaceutical Conference on 25 September. He described his career, which spanned more than 20 years, in a presentation at the Conference. He has looked at the properties of particles expelled by aerosol and nebulised inhalers and studied how these properties can be used to produce the correct size for optimum drug therapy. A full report of his presentation will appear in a future issue of The Journal. The AstraZeneca Industrial Achievement Award is given annually in recognition of an outstanding contribution to either the advancement of pharmaceutical sciences or services to the pharmaceutical industry. |
