The
World Congress of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences, the 61st
Congress of the International Pharmaceutical Federation (FIP), opened
in Singapore on 2 September. Over 2,200 participants from 84 countries
attended the congress, the theme of which was Combining practice
and science to extend horizons.
We conclude our coverage of the Singapore congress of the International
Pharmaceutical Federation (FIP) with reports from meetings on sourcing
and quality of pharmaceutical ingredients, the quality and safety
of herbal medicines, and pharmacist prescribing. We also carry a
short report from the meeting of the FIP Young Pharmacists Group,
the first meeting of which took place during the congress

FIP Young Pharmacists Group launches new award
for professional innovation Originally conceived in 1993,
the FIP Young Pharmacists Group was officially adopted into the
Internationl Pharmaceutical Federation by the FIP Bureau in February 2001.
