Tritace capsules

Tritace (ramipril) 5mg capsules, in a pack size of 21, have been launched by Aventis Pharma (net price, £7.17).

ImmuCyst 81mg

ImmuCyst (Connaught strain of Bacillus Calmette-Guérin) 81mg intravesicular instillation (Cambridge Laboratories), previously available on a named-patient basis, has been launched. The product is licensed for the treatment and prophylaxis of primary or recurrent carcinoma in situ of the urinary bladder and for the prophylaxis of primary or recurrent stage Ta and/or T1 papillary tumours, following transurethral resection (net price, 1 vial £89).

Labetalol injection

A prefilled syringe of labetalol hydrochloride 50mg/10ml injection has been launched (Aurum Pharmaceuticals) (net price, 1 syringe £5.60).

NiQuitin CQ lozenges

NiQuitin CQ 2mg and 4mg lozenges, a form of nicotine replacement therapy, have been launched (GlaxoSmithKline). Both strengths have pharmacy medicines status (retail price, both strengths 36 £8.99 72 £17.49). (See news.)
