Welsh Executive's Cardiff office now staffed again

The interim secretary of the Welsh Executive, Colin Hitchings, now has a full-time assistant, Gemma Askew, based in the executive's Cardiff office. She works from 9am to 5pm, Mondays to Fridays.

Correspondence for the Welsh Executive may now again be addressed to the Cardiff office rather than to the Society's London headquarters. The address is 14 Mount Stuart Square, Cardiff Bay, Cardiff CF1 6DP (tel 02920 412800; fax 02920 412810; e-mail wales@rpsgb.org.uk).

The Cardiff office has been largely unmanned since the resignation of the secretary of the Welsh Executive, Erica Barrie, a few weeks ago. While a permanent successor to Mrs Barrie is being sought, Mr Hitchings is acting as secretary on a part-time basis. Although he spends some time in Cardiff, he has been working mainly from London.
