Douglas Hepler to address pharmacists in Scotland

The Royal Pharmaceutical Society in Scotland is to close its sesquicentenary celebrations with a lecturer to be given by Professor C. Douglas Hepler.

Professor Hepler, distinguished professor and director of the Du Bow Centre for Research in Pharmaceutical Care, College of Pharmacy, University of Florida, will deliver his lecture at 3pm on 18 December in the Society’s house at 36 York Place, Edinburgh.

He will address the audience with his views on pharmaceutical care and, in particular, the issues surrounding spreading the idea of pharmaceutical care and what a responsible and reimburseable programme might look like from both the supply and the demand sides.

Attendance at the lecture will be by ticket only. Members who would like to attend are invited to contact Findlay Hickey, deputy secretary of the Society in Scotland, on 0131 556 4386 or by e-mail at info@rpsis.com.
