Pipril preparations

Pipril (piperacillin sodium) 1g, 2g and 4g injections and Pipril 4g infusion pack are being discontinued (Wyeth Laboratories). The 1g, 2g and 4g injections will continue to be available until May 2002. However, there is no further stock of the 4g infusion pack.

Monozide tablets

Monozide 10 (bisoprolol fumarate 10mg, hydrochlorothiazide 6.25mg) tablets are being discontinued with immediate effect due to manufacturing difficulties.

Buccastem M tablets

Buccastem M (prochlorperazine) 3mg tablets, a pharmacy medicine, has been launched (Reckitt Benckiser Healthcare); retail price, 8 tablets £4.99. The product is indicated for "nausea and vomiting in previously diagnosed migraine in adults aged 18 years and over".
