NICE seeks citizens council members

The National Institute for Clinical Excellence is to seek up to 30 members of the public to serve on its citizens council.

The council will advice NICE on social, ethical and moral questions in relation to its work, but will not make clinical recommendations. The aim is to have a mix of members representative of the population, but excluding anyone working for the National Health Service, the pharmaceutical industry or related bodies. The council will meet twice a year for three days at a time.
