Ciproxin infusion

Ciproxin (ciprofloxacin) 400mg flexibags for intravenous infusion are now available in packs of 12 instead of 10 (Bayer). Orders can be faxed to Bayer on 01635 563432.

Mefenamic acid suspension

Ponstan (mefenamic acid) suspension 50mg/ml, pack size 125ml, is now available under its generic name (Chemidex Generics).

Erythroped A tablets

Erythroped A (erythromycin) 500mg tablets, pack size 28, will now be supplied in packs of 1 x 28 instead of 10 x 28 (Abbott Laboratories); net price, 1 x 28 tablets £10.19.

Discontinued products

Frumil LS tablets

The 100-tablet pack size of Frumil LS (amiloride hydrochloride 2.5mg, furosemide 20mg) has been discontinued with immediate effect (Helis Healthcare). The 28 and 56 packs of Frumil LS tablets remain available.

Orbifen oral suspension

Orbifen (ibuprofen) oral suspension 100mg/5ml has been launched, pack size 100ml (Orbis Consumer Products); net price, £1.67, retail price, £2.99. The pharmacy medicine is strawberry-flavoured and sugar-free. Numark products

Sugar-free formulations of pholcodine linctus (retail price, £1.55) and simple linctus (retail price, £1.09) have been launched (Numark). Both products are pharmacy medicines.
