CD register entries for hydromorphone

Pharmacists are reminded that hydromorphone preparations, such as Palladone capsules, must be entered into the Controlled Drug register under their own section titled “hydromorphone”. Entries should not be made under the “morphine” heading. If the pharmacy’s Controlled Drug register does not have a section titled “hydromorphone”, a blank section may be used, provided that the cover and the top of each page is completed with the name “hydromorphone”.
