The Society

What value have the museum objects?

From Mr A. E. Moss, MRPharmS

I regret having failed to add my voice earlier to the chorus of protests against the closing of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society's museum.
It is surely scandalous that the profession should be seen as lacking the will to maintain a relevant and unique collection and I hope that it is still not too late for this decision to be reversed.
As one who has donated modestly to the collection, I am informed that I will be given the opportunity of having the object returned to me; in that event I will be able to sell it and thus make myself a few pounds.
So would the Council please tell me whether they prefer my slight enrichment to that of possessing a (possibly) unique artefact connected with medicine?

Arthur Moss
Shrewsbury, Shropshire
