PJ's advertising manager retires after nearly 30 years

The PJ Publications advertising manager, Jack Richmond, has retired from the Royal Pharmaceutical Society's staff on reaching his 60th birthday.

Mr Richmond joined the staff as advertising manager of The Pharmaceutical Journal on 1 August 1973, having previously been assistant advertising manager of Retail Chemist (a weekly pharmacy newspaper that was later absorbed into Chemist & Druggist).

Over the years the advertising department has expanded with the growth of the PJ, the launch of additional publications and the emergence of new advertising opportunities.
