NPA launches locum insurance

Indemnity insurance for locum pharmacists is to be launched by the National Pharmaceutical Association on 1 April. With an annual premium of £150, the new scheme provides cover for professional indemnity and public liability up to £3m a year resulting from a breach of professional duty or negligence, legal and accountancy expenses up to £100,000 and legal and tax advice. Cover includes professional disciplinary proceedings.
