Uprima with nitrates well tolerated

Apomorphine (Uprima) is well tolerated in men with erectile dysfunction who are taking nitrates, researchers confirm. The investigation was carried out because apomorphine is prescribed with caution in patients taking nitrates because of the potential for hypotension. The incidence of treatment-related adverse effects was 14.1 per cent for patients taking nitrates compared with 17.3 per cent for those not taking nitrates.

The data were presented at the European Association of Urology congress held in Birmingham last week.
