Management changes in Professional Standards Division

The Royal Pharmaceutical Society has announced an interim structure for the management of its Professional Standards Directorate pending completion of the programme to modernise the Society's regulatory functions and ways of working.

Helen Darracott (head of professional ethics) becomes head of professional standards, and Stephen Lutener (head of pharmacy law) becomes head of professional conduct. Mr Lutener will be responsible for the inspectorate and the disciplinary process and Mrs Darracott for most of the directorate's project work, including the Code of Ethics, standards of professional performance, registration and fitness to practise.

The two will hold joint director status.
