Drug-herb interactionsInformation not easy to findFrom Dr I. H. Stockley, FRPharmS I agree with the motion passed at the British Pharmaceutical Students Association conference in Glasgow (PJ, 30 March, p422) about the need for more information about drug-herb interactions. That is why the next edition of 'Drug interactions' will have more information about herbal preparations than the current one, and why my module of drug interaction alerts on NDC's "Pharmacy Manager" software also carries an increasing amount of drug-herb data. The task is more than usually time consuming because there is so much guesswork and speculation about herbs which means that reliable information about clinically relevant interactions is not easy to find.
