IPMI consultants directory

The Institute of Pharmacy Management International has published the 2002 edition of its directory of pharmacy consultants. It lists over 70 members of the institute who are able to provide a wide range of consultancy services. Copies are available free of charge by sending an A4 stamped addressed envelope to Nicholas Wood, General Secretary, IPMI, The Seasons, Park Wood, Doddinghurst, Brentwood, Essex CM15 0SN.

Pharmacy in the army

The e-mail address for obtaining information about pharmacy services in the army has changed to ramc.recruiting@army.mod.uk.net.

February retail sales figures

The value of retail sales for February 2002, under the classification of pharmaceutical sales, was up five points at 120. The classification of the retail sale of pharmaceutical, medical, cosmetic and toilet goods excludes National Health Service receipts. The figures are based on returns made by a number of large retail pharmacy chains, but exclude Boots The Chemists Ltd, which is classified under non-specialised retail stores. The figures are compiled by the Office for National Statistics.
