Reduce costs of analgesic mixtures

Centralised preparation of analgesic mixtures for surgical procedures reduces costs and workload. Research conducted at the University Medical Centre in Ljubljana, Slovenia, shows that producing analgesic mixtures in the pharmacy, rather than by nurses in the operating areas, reduces costs by 30 per cent in terms of materials and drugs used, and time.
