Fact-finding pharmacy visit for Secretary and Registrar

Ann Lewis with Graham Phillips in his pharmacy

The Royal Pharmaceutical Society's Secretary and Registrar, Ann Lewis, recently made a fact-finding visit to the Manor Pharmacy in Harpenden, Hertfordshire, owned by pharmacist Graham Phillips. During her visit Mr Phillips demonstrated how the use of modern technology and trained dispensing technicians allowed him to spend more time with his patients.

Miss Lewis plans to visit a range of pharmacy settings in community, hospital and other areas of practice.

Miss Lewis told The Journal: "I appreciate having had the opportunity to visit Manor Pharmacy, where I was impressed by the enthusiasm shown by Graham Phillips and his staff."

She added: "It is important for me to keep in touch with pharmacy practice in all its settings and to see at first hand the opportunities and the challenges."
