Scottish AGM to include address on public involvement in health careThe agenda for the 2002 annual general meeting of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society's Scottish Department will include an address on the involvement of patients and the public in the use of medicines. The address is to be given by Helen Tyrrell, director of Voluntary Health Scotland, the umbrella organisation for Scotland's voluntary health sector. Ms Tyrrell has a background in public health and has been engaged in health policy work in the voluntary sector for the past 13 years. Public involvement and participation is a major theme running through the work of Voluntary Health Scotland. The AGM takes places in Edinburgh on the afternoon of 19 June. |
