Welsh annual lecture to look at drug delivery systemsThe annual lecture of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society's Welsh Executive is this year to be on the topic of "New drug delivery systems: from theory to practice". The lecture, which takes place at 8pm on Wednesday 10 July at Techniquest, Cardiff Bay, will be given by Professor Hans Junginger, head of the department for pharmaceutical technology at the Leiden/Amsterdam centre for drug research, who is also scientific secretary to the International Pharmaceutical Federation. Professor Junginger is an expert on delayed release technology for oral products and has a reputation as an entertaining lecturer. During his presentation he will demonstrate a variety of the materials and techniques used in delayed release and slow release products. His demonstrations will include a short in vivo video. The Welsh Executive apologises to members of the Society resident in Wales for including incorrect information about the topic for the lecture with the voting papers for the executive election. |
