Moss Pharmacy starts family health campaignThe first phase of an ongoing consumer information programme, the "Family health campaign", has been launched by Moss Pharmacy. The campaign has been launched as a result of a consumer survey and to raise awareness among the public that pharmacy provides an essential health care service, the company said. The survey of 1,000 families, undertaken by Moss, showed that 41 per cent of families found their local pharmacist an important source of information and 52 per cent said that their pharmacist gave "good advice". As part of the campaign, Moss has introduced a family health pack containing information on a number of common ailments and an immunisation record card. Other initiatives this year include an allergy awareness programme in July and a cough and cold programme during September and October. Moss will be launching a second phase of its campaign next year which will include smoking cessation, sexual health, sun care and healthy heart initiatives. |
