College launches Scottish branch

The College of Pharmacy Practice launched its Scottish branch last week at a reception held at the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow.

Dr Steven Kayne, chairman of the Scottish branch, known as CPPiS, said that pharmacists in Scotland formed about one-third of the CPP's total membership. The college will be holding continuing professional education and development meetings, with events planned for Dumfries, Elgin and Stirling later this year. In the past, most CPP meetings have been held in England, normally in London or the Midlands.

The CPPiS will also work with other pharmacy bodies in Scotland in making responses to relevant consultation documents.
