One new member for Welsh ExecutiveThe annual election of four members of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society's Welsh Executive has resulted in one change in the executive's membership. Rowena McArtney, senior information pharmacist in the Welsh Medicines Information Centre, has replaced Ian Phillips, who chose not to seek re-election. Colin Ranshaw, Andrea Robinson and Phil Parry, were all returned to the executive for a further three years. The unsuccessful candidates were Huw Evans, Philip Galt and Paul Gimson. Ian Phillips's decision to retire from the executive this year comes after a total of 15 years' service, including two years as chairman. Of the 2,176 voting papers issued, 601 were returned (74 more than in 2001). The percentage of voting papers returned was 27.6, compared with 24.2 per cent in 2001 and 20.1 per cent in the recent Council election.. |
