LPS allows hospitals to dispense FP10s

The ministerial prohibition on the dispensing of GP prescriptions by hospital pharmacies has been over-ridden by the introduction of pilots for local pharmaceutical services schemes.

David Lammy, Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Health, told Parliament on 24 June that hospital pharmacies were allowed to be LPS providers and would, as such, be able to dispense GP prescriptions.
