Launch of ETP pilot in Peterborough

This week sees the official launch of an electronic transfer of prescriptions (ETP) pilot under way in Peterborough. Over 2,500 patients have now registered to take part in the pilot which began at the end of May, together with 22 GP surgeries and 30 pharmacies.

The scheme is being piloted by the Flexiscript consortium as part of a trial set up by the Department of Health (PJ, 8 June, p795).
