Care awards given by NICE chairman
Two of the six prize-winning projects in the 2001 Pharmaceutical Care Awards are based in Scotland, indicating that pharmacists north of the border continue to provide excellence in pharmaceutical care. Professor Sir Michael Rawlins, chairman, National Institute for Clinical Excellence, presented awards for a pharmacist-led hypertension management clinic in Midlothian and for a smoking cessation programme in Scottish prisons. The other four award winners are based in England. See Pharmaceutical Care Awards 2001, pp59–62 |
