Autism and GI disordersChildren with autism are no more likely to suffer gastrointestinal (GI) disorders than non-autistic children, American researchers have found (BMJ 2002; 325:419). They found the incidence of GI disorders was the same — 9 per cent — among autistic children and matched controls. They also found no temporal association between measles, mumps and rubella vaccination and onset of GI symptoms in children with autism. |
