Trainee wins C&G medal of excellence
A pharmacy assistant taking the National Pharmaceutical Association's pharmacy services level 3 national vocational qualification course has won a City & Guilds medal of excellence. Nadine Greatrix, who works for Lloyds-pharmacy at Burntwood, Staffordshire, is one of 120 people to receive the medal this year chosen from the three-quarters of a million people who complete C&G qualifications annually. The medal recognises exceptional performance, innovation, originality and the development of knowledge and skills. Lesley Johnson, head of the NPA's education and training department said: "Studying on a distance learning programme can be a lonely experience, but Nadine told me that her husband, Stephen, had been a great support to her throughout her studies. Nadine never missed a deadline for her coursework and combined it with working full-time and running a home, consistently producing evidence to a very high standard. This is the first time that an NPA student has been awarded a medal of excellence so we are very proud of Nadine." |
