Government seeks foresight over infectious diseases research

Drug resistant infectious diseases, brain function and the prevention and treatment of addiction, and new technology for health are among the topics for consideration in a consultation document published by the Science Minister, Lord Sainsbury this week.

The consultation is intended to find out which subjects should be added to the two topics currently being studied as part of the Department of Trade and Industry's Foresight programme.
