Census final reminder sent out

Final reminders are being sent out to the minority of members of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society who have still not returned their pharmacy workforce census questionnaire forms (PJ, 31 August, p299). The reminder is accompanied by a second copy of the questionnaire for those who have mislaid the form sent out early in September.

The Society needs as large a response as possible because of the importance of the census results to its work in the areas of workforce planning, education, research, developing the register and implementing race relations legislation.
By 18 October, more than 33,000 forms had been returned, representing an overall response rate of about 73 per cent. For members with registered addresses in Britain, the response rate has now reached 80 per cent. Any members who require further information about the census should contact Zoe Whittington in the Society’s practice research division (e-mail zwhittington@rpsgb.org.uk; tel 020 7572 2276).
