Professional development awards for 2002

Professional development awards of up to £500 have been made by the Royal Pharmaceutical Society to support 55 pharmacy development groups (PDGs) and other local groups of pharmacists in England and Wales.

In April this year the Society called for applications supporting development of the infrastructure or administrative costs of locally based groups of pharmacists with members across the profession, whose primary concern is professional development (pharmacy development groups). The awards are made, for example, for anything from covering administrative costs and room hire for an initial meeting, to buying a fax machine or setting up an e-mail address.
