Combination therapy benefits RAInterim results from a phase II trial involving 122 patients reveal that, after six months of treatment, 80 per cent of patients taking methotrexate plus rituximab (MabThera) showed a 20 per cent improvement in their rheumatoid arthritis, compared with only a third of those taking standard methotrexate monotherapy (P=0.001).
