Lincoln branch focuses on pharmacy in the media

Members of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society's Lincoln branch attended a meeting on 17 October to hear Jean-Pierre Moser, the Society's head of public relations, speak on pharmacy in the media. During his presentation, Mr Moser highlighted some of the pharmacy stories that had created national news during 2002, including those concerning emergency hormonal contraception and others concerning potential switches of medicines from prescription-only pharmacy control. He also reflected on the work that the Society does to create pharmacy stories for the regional media.

Stephen Hughes, secretary of the Lincoln branch, said: "It was interesting for our members to get an insight behind the headlines and to find out more about what makes pharmacy news."
