Drug development ACE

The X-ray structure of a human angiotensin-converting enzyme could be used for the development of new, highly selective ACE inhibitors by rational drug design, researchers say.

In the online version of Nature this week, researchers report the X-ray structure and its complex with the ACE inhibitor lisinopril (Zestril).
