Boost for Scottish pharmaciesCommunity pharmacies in Scotland are to be promoted by NHS Scotland as walk-in centres where people can receive health advice and services. This is one proposal in a new Scottish White Paper "Partnership for care" that will bring yet more structural reform to the health service in Scotland and is in addition to pharmacies displaying the NHS Scotland logo. A key reform will be the dissolution of NHS Trusts to bring all services together under new operational units beneath health boards. Health boards and local authorities are also to be required to work more closely together. "Partnership for care" can be downloaded as a PDF (1.5 MB; requires Acrobat Reader 5 or later). |
