Welsh prescribing developments

Training for supplementary prescribing will be centrally funded in Wales, it has been agreed.

A total of £0.5m of non-recurring monies has been agreed to fund the training of 250 nurses and pharmacists. The All-Wales Medicines Strategy Group is establishing a "task and finish" subgroup to oversee the training.
