The Profession

Sidelined again

From Mr C. Watson

Did anyone else read the 20-page supplement on primary care trusts in The Guardian ("Who cares? The future of frontline health", 26 March) and feel disappointed by the lack of coverage given to community pharmacy and PCT pharmacists? Amid the excitement of consultants in local clinics, specialist general practitioners and extended roles for nurses, it seems that pharmacy has once again allowed itself to be sidelined.

What role will we play in the future of front-line health?

Conall Watson
