Safeway rejects OFT

Safeway has broken ranks with the other supermarkets and rejected the Office of Fair Trading's call for pharmacy deregulation.

Instead, Safeway wants the regulations to be improved. Control over new pharmacy contracts should rest with strategic health authorities, it says.
