The Society

I hope never to be an "inactive" member

From Ms M. G. Richard, MRPharmS

I agree with Dr John Hunt (PJ, 5 April, p478): the words "inactive pharmacist" should be deleted from our vocabulary.

Although I have retired from "active" service, I have my experience of 70 years on the register, during which I have attended annual general meetings and branch representatives' meetings in London and have been a branch committee member, vice-chairman and chairman. I follow the life of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society in The Journal week by week and I am proud to have been a pharmacist. I hope never to be an "inactive" member.

Grace Richard
