Can we still have educational materials?

Ms M. D. Benfield, MRPharmS

I have been retired for some years — but when people question me about medicines I am still expected to know. However, for personal reasons, continuing study is difficult, and reading has to suffice. Yet if, after the continuing professional development consultation period, I am "declassified" as a pharmacist (and what then do I tell people I am?), I presume I shall not get The Pharmaceutical Journal or the other useful publications which keep me up to date to some extent.

I agree that if one is still practising pharmacy continuing study is essential, but please can we retain at least some title which gives us access to continuing education in some form?

Margaret Benfield
Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire
