Dust off your cheque books practising pharmacists

From Dr C. M. Minchom, MRPharmS

Ignore demographics at your peril; "one fifth of pharmacists are non-practising" (PJ, 1 March, p314) PDF (50K)

When a significant proportion of us non-practising pharmacists leave the register, disenfranchised by the demands of an irrelevant core continuing professional development curriculum and an inability to use the title "pharmacist", how much extra are the remaining practising pharmacists willing to pay to maintain the Council, 1 Lambeth High Street and the infrastructure of their regulatory body?

Practising pharmacists wake up now or dust off your cheque book.

Colin Minchom
Industrial Pharmacist
Toronto, Canada
