Pharmaceuticals donated by United Kingdom companies were among 60 tonnes of medical supplies worth around £2m flown to Iraq by Virgin Atlantic last week.

Supplies were donated by GlaxoSmithKline, Novartis, Pfizer and Sanofi-Synthelabo.
