Scottish AGM to consider a motion on the CharterThe annual general meeting for members of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society in Scotland is to consider a motion calling for devolution to be recognised in any new or amended Charter for the Society. The motion says that the Charter should allow the Society's Scottish Executive to make policy for Scottish pharmaceutical and health matters. The motion is to be moved by Maurice Hickey of Forres, Moray, and seconded by Frank Owens of Falkirk. The agenda for the meeting also includes a presentation on the results and implications of the Society's pharmacy workforce census: "results and their implications for the pharmacy profession", given by Dr Karen Hassell, senior research fellow and NHS primary care career scientist at the school of pharmacy, Manchester.
