More women survive breast cancer

Breast cancer treatment appears to be more successful than ever before. According to figures from Cancer Research UK, three out of four British women diagnosed with breast cancer now survive for five years or more and death rates from breast cancer have fallen by 21 per cent over the past decade.

However, incidence of breast cancer is increasing and this trend is expected to continue.
