Ciprofloxacin targets lungsA method for targeting ciprofloxacin to lung tissue has been developed. The quinolone antibiotic is encapsulated with liposome and an antibody specific for a lung vascular protein. Researchers reported at the American Thoracic Society conference that this method could enhance bacterial clearance and reduce the problem of drug-resistance.
